The FISH Lazio (Italian Federation for Overcoming Handicaps) and the Agencies for Independent Living of the Region will promote the conference “The Agencies for Independent Living in Lazio” on May 13th in Rome, «to illustrate the objectives achieved through the work of the Agencies themselves – explain the promoters -, one year after the start of the experimentation, listening to the voice of those directly involved and the institutional representatives with whom the organizations have built a support network for the person with disabilities and their family”
A few days before the European Day for Independent Living on 5 May and on the occasion of the same, the FISH Lazio (Italian Federation for Overcoming Handicaps) and the Independent Living Agencies of the Region will promote a Rome the conference called The Agencies for Independent Living in Lazioscheduled for the morning of Monday 13 May (Sala Tevere della Regione Lazio, Via Cristoforo Colombo, 212, 9.30-13.30).
«The Agencies – explain the promoters of the meeting – represent, in compliance with the national and regional legislation on the matter, a place that allows people with disabilities and families to make use of new personal design tools and, through listening, consultancy, accompaniment and orientation services, to acquire a better self-representation of oneself it’s a greater awareness with respect to the objectives that they intend to achieve in their lives. Therefore, one year after the start of the experimentation in the various territories, with the conference on 13 May we intend to illustrate the objectives achieved through the work of the Agencies, listening first of all to the voice of those directly involved and the institutional representatives with whom the bodies have built an inter-institutional and inter-territorial network of support for the person with disabilities and their family, also through the creation of shared and integrated paths ».
