Peace meeting at the Kaki tree in San Giovanni park

The meeting to commemorate the planting of the Nagasaki persimmon tree, the only tree to survive the atomic bombing of August 6, 1945 in Nagasaki. Symbol of Life and rebirth, the tree is brought and planted in places that have seen much suffering within the international Kaki tree project and was brought into the former OPP Park in 2012.

The event will be held in the space dedicated to him in the area in front of the Directorate and will see the presence of representatives of citizen movements for Peace and students of some classes of the Bartol Schools, Julia Division and the Slomšek High School.

The meeting is organized by the World Without Wars and Without Violence association which will announce the departure of the next World March for Peace and Nonviolence starting on October 2nd from San José in Costa Rica. Before arriving at the space dedicated to the Tree of Peace, the students of the Bartol school will visit the mineralogy museum at 9 am with prof. Francesco Princivalle, followed by the schools Bartol and Julia will have a meeting with Livio Dorigo (president of the beekeepers and environmentalist) and with Tiziana Cimolino (environmentalist). From 11.00 to 13.00 the meeting will be held in the space dedicated to the Kaki Tree Project with the greeting and presentation of the project by Tiziana Volta, then experiences and discussions on Peace with representatives of citizen movements for Peace. Following this, the Nuovo Coro choir of the Fincantieri-Wärtsila APS Company Club will perform, directed by teacher Margarita Swarczewskaja, and a circle of Peace will be created with those present.
