FdI still first and followed by the Pd, while the M5S stops 5 points away. The head-to-head battle continues between FI and Lega with the Carroccio making a comeback. Between Avs, Action and the United States, the unknown remains as to who will be able to elect their representatives to the EU Parliament. Here is the latest Bidimedia survey which shows the performance of the parties one month before the European elections.
Not much left in the European elections of 8 and 9 June. The latest Bidimedia survey provides a fairly faithful picture of voting intentions compared to the trends of the parties recorded in recent months. In fact, Fratelli d’Italia remains the first party at 27.7%, followed seven points behind the Democratic Party. The 5 Star Movement falls back, losing almost a point and failing to exceed 16%. After weeks of head-to-head and overtaking between Lega and Forza Italia, the Northern League (at 8.8%) seems to have the upper hand for now. Among the smaller lists, the race to overcome the threshold required to elect their representatives in Brussels does not stop.
FdI still in the lead, the Pd rises: it is five points away from the M5s
The latest survey records growth for the two main political forces in the country. Both, Brothers of Italy And Democratic party, they gain 0.6% and rise respectively to 27.7% from 20.8%. Giorgia Meloni’s party therefore remains in line with the results obtained in recent months, even if it is unlikely to reach the 30% threshold.
On the opposition front, while the Dems brought home a positive result, the same cannot be said Movement five stars which loses 0.9% and stops at 15.7%. It remains to be seen whether Giuseppe Conte’s party, now that the electoral campaign is now in full swing, will be able to grow in consensus and recover the distance – currently five points – that separates it from Elly Schlein’s Dems. The outcome that emerges from the polls will also be interesting to understand future positions in the minority, where so far the attempts to build the so-called “wide field” have often proved shaky.

It’s neck and neck between FI and Lega: the Carroccio recovers to 8.8%
An important match will be played between Forza Italia and Lega at the European Championships. The two parties are competing for the place as the second party in the majority to which the Azzurri, in coalition with We Moderates, they point. After weeks in which in some surveys FI’s overtaking was taken for granted, in the latest survey Antonio Tajani’s party, albeit with a slight increase (+0.2%), gives way to the Northern League. Forza Italia stops at 8.1%, the League instead, with a +0.5% it rises to 8.8% but still remains below double digits.
As for the smaller parties, the competition revolves around the 4% threshold. Greens-Left Alliance And United States of Europe recorded a negative sign (-0.1% and -0.2%), but managed to remain above the threshold, at 4.3% and 4.9% respectively. The scenario seems more uncertain Action: Carlo Calenda’s party lost 0.4% and is at exactly 4%. They remain outside the European Parliament for now: Freedom of Cateno De Luca, which also gains 0.9% and reaches 2%, Peace, Earth and Dignity by Michele Santoro, slightly increasing (+0.1%) to 1.6% and Democracy Sovereign People (0.9%).
