This morning the resolution presented by President Leonardo Di Matteo was approved which proposes a change since the name of the stations of the metropolitan lines is chosen to clearly indicate the main locations reachable from each station. The name was also decided by discussions with citizens, in particular with the Commuters’ Committee
South Acilia – “We are now in home stretch with regard to the opening of the new Acilia Sud Metromare line station”.
This morning it was the resolution was approved by the Municipal Council presented by the President of the third Public Works and Mobility commission Leonardo Di Matteo which proposes to modify the denomination of the same in Acilia Sud-Dragona.
“We approved the resolution in consideration of the fact that the name of the stations of the metropolitan lines is chosen to be able to clearly indicate the main locations reachable from each station – declares President Di Matteo – Meanwhile, work is progressing to complete and make the Metromare line station operational by this year and which will be located between the Acilia and Ostia Antica stations. Furthermore, the areas that will be served by the new station are the southern area of Acilia and the Dragona district, which will be connectedor from the realization of a pedestrian overpass”.
“With the proposed resolution of the Municipal Council – continues Di Matteo – the relevant bodies are asked, including the Lazio region to activate the administrative process in order to change the current name for the station in question from ‘Acilia Sud’ to ‘Acilia Sud–Dragona’. The proposal also arises from discussions with citizens – with the Commuters Committee whom we thank for their always precious contribution – concludes the President of the Commission Di Matteo.
