The plot

During a holiday period in the splendid Camogli, Inspector Giulio Manero, alias Riccio, a feisty and direct man, meets the young and beautiful Anita. The two, on a warm April night, spend time talking aboard a small rowing boat, on the sea of ​​the placid and glittering gulf. The next morning, a woman’s body lies on a handful of rocks at the bottom of a cliff. What remains of a tortured body, almost unrecognizable, however, leaves no doubt as to her identity: it is that of Anita. Everything points to a suicide. From that moment, however, a series of murders occurs which to Riccio’s alert eye immediately seems to come from the same hand. The victims are middle-aged men who seem to have only one point in common: Sophie Marcelle, Anita’s mother. The investigations alternate between conclusions that now appear close and gaps in the water. Until the solution of an enigma that hides, carefully buried, the roots of the Evil of a cruel past which, once unearthed, will show no mercy for anything or anyone.

The author

Marina Crescenti graduated cum laude in Economics and Business and was a university researcher. You made your debut in the world of noir in 2007 with “4 Demons for Commissioner Narducci” (Fratelli Frilli Editori). Among his novels and short stories we remember: “False Memory”contained in the anthology “Eros and Thanatos” (SuperGiallo Mondadori, 2010), “The Tears of the Pack” (A.Car Edizioni, 2012), with which he won the Microeditoria Award in 2013, “Blood is not commanded” (Novecento Editore, 2016) e “What keeps them awake” (Novecento Editore, 2017).

Passionate about tennis, she has played for the national team and in Serie A. She is a lover of cinema, in particular the detective genre and 70s Italian detective stories.
