SPECIAL EXHIBITIONS

Art and illusion exhibitions, dedicated to amphibians or stories… there are many temporary exhibitions underway in Genoa which are suitable for visiting with children.

SPECIAL SPORTS FESTIVAL

More than an event, more than an experience… the Sports Festival is the event that you simply cannot miss in this month of May.

For 20 years, for three days the Porto Antico of Genoa has been transformed into a large open-air Olympic village, open to absolutely everyone for free.

Lots of sports to try, for all ages and all abilities!

Children – but often adults too – will be able to try team sports such as football, volleyball, basketball, baseball but also individual sports such as tennis, climbing, oriental arts… but also sailing and rowing (even in water ) board games, monowheel, lightsabers, simulators and much more!

The Ninnamì Fascioteca laboratories

Do we always talk about workshops for older children but never think about the little ones?

Ninnami it is the fascio library created by Letizia who moved from Valpolcevera to the center of Genoa a few months ago.
In a much larger and multifunctional space it welcomes children and parents in many activities to play and grow together but also in very useful courses for learning.

• Kodomo no hi – Children’s party
  May 5, 2024 – 11.00 am
  EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOP FOR CHILDREN
  The workshop will be dedicated to the little ones, as it coincides with the traditional Japanese children’s festival, Kodomo no hi.
  During the meeting the themes relating to this festival will be explored in depth, focusing on the rituals and elements that distinguish it. Children will get to know the works in the Museum that refer to this holiday and the legends of little heroes, such as Momotarō, the strongest child in Japan, and Kintarō, the golden child; it will also be possible to immerse yourself in the spring atmosphere by observing the Iris flowers, discovering their meaning, and that of the traditional flying carp, the colorful koinobori kites, which we will also try to recreate on paper.

Torrazza is a small village in the hinterland of Valpolcevera… but its library is super active and full of ideas.

Night with the sharks at the Genoa Aquarium

Have you ever thought about sleeping face to face with sharks?
AtGenova’s aquarium you can and this adventure is called exactly Night with the sharks.
Here is the program: It starts at 9.00 pm with the nocturnal guided tour of the Aquarium, entertainment activities and then the setting up of camp beds in front of the shark tank where you will sleep with your sleeping bag. The experience ends the next day with a visit to some pools and breakfast.
The experience is ONLY for children aged 7 to 11

  Nocturnal birds of prey: predators of the night
  An evening dedicated to the secret life of nocturnal birds of prey: silent flight, mimicry, lifestyle, social behaviour, singing, myths and popular beliefs which have sometimes made them idols to be venerated, but more often threats to be persecute. We will enter their dark world with a night walk from Curlo to the Ornithological Center and we will discover with a projection how these wonderful birds of prey have adapted to the darkness. And then, in perfect silence, we will try to listen to their voices.
• Saturday 18 May at 2.00pm
  The taste of geodiversity
  Panoramic walk with the Park Guide that takes us to Val Gargassa in the heart of spring. On the way back we will stop at the Agriturismo Monterosso, the breeding of chamois goats from whose milk many Tasty per Natura cheeses are born.
