After discovering how much cars cost at the beginning of 2000, we continue our journey into the past by discovering the Alfa Romeo price lists for 2010: even in this case… there’s something to cry about.

Once again we lean on the mythical yellow caruser Instagram, which recently published Biscione’s price lists from 14 years ago. It starts with the Alfa Romeo Mito, the smallest from Arese, which could be purchased for 15,051 euros in the 78 horsepower 1.4 Progression version, or possibly at 20,951 for the 1.4 turbo 170 horsepower Multiair Quadrifoglio Verde, a real villain of the road that had nothing to envy of the mild years ’90 as Renault Clio Williams, Citroen Saxo VTS or Peugeot 106 Rallye.

The price goes up with the Alfa Romeo Giulietta, which could instead be purchased for 20,451 euros in the 1.4 turbo Progression version, but also for 29,151 euros for those who wanted to focus on the splendid 1750 TBI Progression Quadrifoglio Verde. Finally, space for the sedan from the Alfa era, the legendary one 159, which had a price list that was undoubtedly more compressed towards the bottom than the current one. The 1750 TBI Progression was bought for 29,011 euros, while the 3.2 JTS V6 Sport Plus, a car with 260 horsepower, sold for just 31,451 euros.

AND how much does an Alfa Romeo cost today? In these 14 years the price lists have literally exploded and currently the cheapest Alfa Romeo is the recent one Junior, on sale starting from 31,900 euros. For the Tonale, at least 38 thousand euros are needed, which becomes 48 thousand for the Giulia, up to 55 for the Stelvio. The leap forward of the glorious Arese brand is evident, but obviously this is not an isolated case given that all car manufacturers have recorded dramatic increases in these almost 15 years, especially after the covid pandemic.
