TRAPANI HERE
Andrea Diana (coach) – “I am happy to find Verona, the club and the city of which I carry wonderful memories, especially of the first season spent together. We are well aware of our opponent’s potential, which has certainly increased with the addition of Buva, an added value for this category. We are in the semi-finals and as it should be, every team would have been of an excellent level and ready to play their cards to beat us. Verona is a very physical team with a well-defined identity: great defensive aggression especially with the wingers, who are the best at lowering the opponents’ 3-point percentages and the number of assists. While from steals and rebounds they are ready to run and score on the counterattack. With the defense deployed, the objective of attacking the area is clear. In the series against Piacenza we acquired awareness of our capabilities, starting from a solid defense, with all 5 players involved. We want to start from here, from the strength of the entire group available. I expect a great show.”
Fabrizio Pugliatti (player, winger) – “We are very happy with the passage of the round. We know that we will face a very difficult challenge, but we are all focused on our role and what we have to do. We’ve trained well this week and we can’t wait to get on the pitch.”
Note – Everyone available. Coach Andrea Diana will only decide on the eve of the 10 seniors to bring to the bench.
Average – Live streaming on LNP Pass. Live radio on Radio 102 (102 Mhz), Updates at the end of the quarter and during the match on the official Facebook page and on the official Instagram account of Trapani Shark.

HERE VERONA
Alessandro Ramagli (coach) – “We arrive at the most enjoyable part of the season, when we enter the last two rounds of the playoffs there is clearly a great desire to play, to compete with the opponents, to go beyond one’s limits and demonstrate all one’s qualities; it is truly the most beautiful moment. It is a very enjoyable semi-final, because it is against a team that has demonstrated all its strength throughout the season, without ever hiding its ambitions and certifying them with the arrival of two out-of-class players, such as Stefano Gentile and Amar Alibegovic. There is every reason to have extra motivation, I believe that it is a semi-final that we all play with great desire and great taste, precisely due to the level of the opponent and the fact of having to perform an feat away from home because clearly, starting without the advantage of the field, we need to win at least once in Trapani to be able to turn on our side. All this makes the match particularly enjoyable and eagerly awaited. The boys came out of the quarter-final with an increased level of confidence and excitement, now we have to be good at putting all this energy into a semi-final which is clearly difficult. We face the team that someone said ‘everyone wanted to avoid’, someone else said ‘the one designated for final victory’, but we don’t do the math in other people’s homes, we do the math in our own home and we know how much desire, how much desire and how much excitement we have to show up in Trapani to play the first and then the second match”.
Giulio Gazzotti (player) – “We have had this week to prepare as best we can for the semi-final, a series awaits us that will lead us to make an important effort both on the physical and technical side. We know that the first two matches will be away from home and that, if we want to reverse the home pitch factor, it will be essential to win at least one there. In game 1 we will absolutely have to have an important physical impact, we will try to do our best, collecting the good things we did in the series against Urania Milano and learning from the mistakes made; it will be essential to limit them, as the level rises considerably against a team like Trapani.”
Note – Federico Massone unavailable due to injury.
Average – The race will be broadcast live on LNP Pass (paid service).

FLATS SERVICE FORTITUDO BOLOGNA – REAL SEBASTIANI RIETI

HERE FORTITUDO BOLOGNA
Attilio Caja (coach) – “We did well to close the series with Treviglio in 3 games, not falling apart in moments of difficulty. We have shown that defending always helps a lot. Now there is the semi-final against Rieti, a team against which we lost at PalaDozza in the scheduled phase and which overcame a tough team like Rimini in 3 games. They have an excellent mentality, they finished third in the other group, so obviously a difficult opponent. For our part, we have done a very serious job, everything can be improved, there is margin, but we are certainly not starting out beaten against anyone. We play against everyone, then we also need a bit of luck to acquire the habit of winning. And when things are going well for you, you can think with greater serenity about the things to improve.”
Note – Nothing to report.
Average – Live streaming on LNP Pass and radio on Radio Nettuno Bologna Uno, deferred TV on TRC Bologna (digital terrestrial channel 15) on Monday 20 May, at 10.30 pm.

HERE REAL SEBASTIANI RIETI
Alessandro Rossi (coach) – “The series will have to be approached with the right intensity, we will play a semi-final. We will have to start from the simplest things which paradoxically are the most difficult. We will have to be concrete and tough. We face a strong team, which we respect a lot for the technical path they have had. It’s a stimulating challenge in which we want to play our cards!”.
Nazzareno Italiano (player) – “We’ve gotten this far by showing off our aggression all over the pitch for 40 minutes, so I’d say we know the recipe well. To make up for Dustin’s absence (Hogue, ed.) we will all have to be good at giving a little more. The environment will be very busy, it will be up to us to work together, supporting each other especially in moments of difficulty.”
Note – Dustin Hogue will be absent due to a left arm injury.
Average – The race will be live streamed on LNP Pass. Real Sebastiani Rieti will keep its fans continuously updated via its social channels: Facebook and Instagram, as well as its official app.
