Coach Ivan TURCICH: «Unfortunately we did not confirm last week’s positive trend. Badly approached match, with a mental detachment from “the season is over”. Bad attitude in the first set, which doesn’t allow alibis of any kind. A special mention but it must be done, that is the entrances of Boggiani and Paniccia which allowed them to win the only set by playing out of position. Overall, an extremely tiring season and with very few positive moments, at least in the race. I can’t say anything to this group in terms of work: very few absences and girls always available. They certainly were laid the foundations for future championships. We’ll see who is ready to seize the opportunity.”

The important thing, however, is to still work on it mental stability and on the hunger of wanting to do well, starting from the field or taking over. The work of the last few weeks is paying off».

Coach Alessia DIEGO: «Definitely, a beautiful experience for all the girls. It was their first Final Four, the first important matches of their volleyball careers. Certainly, there was a bit of tension, as it should be. The semi-final against San Rocco went very well, they played in an orderly and clean way, easily reaching the final. Against Alessandria, they played another beautiful match. As I told them, I don’t usually give a lot of compliments, but we saw some good team work. Congratulations to the opponents who won the Cup, but we defended ourselves well and the partial sets prove it: very little was missed to win. A season finale of growth, in individuals and in the group. A great satisfaction, last year in this tournament with the same team we came last. There growth during the season it is obvious and it makes me happy, the second place they deserved it all. But the compliments are over (smiles, ed.).”
