Many guests took part in the event yesterday at the ‘Diary of a dream’ auditorium and among them, the councilor Alessandro Onorato. These are the words released to the club’s official microphones: “How proud am I to be here? I wasn’t born, I am the proven proof. I was born six years later, raised with that myth. A different football, romantic and made of passion and myths that perhaps everyone is missing. Heroes who changed the predictions on football, a very rich North that always won and a central-south that couldn’t compete. It is a unique Lazio that I don’t know if there will ever be again, yes Lazio can win great things and we hope so but that myth cannot be equaled. What still survives of that football there? I don’t know, it seems complicated to me. In my institutional role I maintain fair play, but as a Lazio player I chose to be from this team in first grade because there was no one from Lazio in my class. I love being in the minority, I don’t ask myself the problem. I believe in nostalgic football, in heroes and the weakest who beat the strongest. If I had wanted to win always and in any case I would not have chosen Lazio, but a team from the North. I hope that the rules of this modern football are honest, young people today understand these things less. I hope that it will be reformed and that Rome, if it had the infrastructure, could compete with anyone in the world.”
“Infrastructure? They are fundamental and over the years Rome has lost too many years on all the systems. We are reopening everything. For Lazio and Roma two large stadiums are needed. I’ve seen the Lazio stadium project, it’s crazy. We are waiting for President Lotito to present it.”
