Giuntoli, a market coup finally arrives even if the season is over. The young talent can make his debut as early as next day.
Until now, Cristiano Giuntoli’s professional career as sports director has been simply extraordinary. And perhaps it would not be wrong to say that we are faced with the path of a predestined person, capable of succeeding in any place in which he has been. Giuntoli began his career as a sporting director at Spezia, and then moved to Carpi in 2009 to take on the role of deputy sporting director of the club.
But after just a few months, President Stefano Bonacini decided to promote him as the new sporting director. And Giuntoli certainly did not disappoint expectations, starting a sensational sporting journey with Carpi, up to the historic promotion to Serie B, and completely revolutionizing the club’s scouting system.
A job that then earned him a call from De Laurentiis’ Napoli in 2015. And even in his adventure at Castel Volturno, the sporting director did nothing but confirm how great his talent was, becoming one of the architects of the third championship won by the Neapolitan club last year.
Until, at the beginning of last summer, he decided to accept the offer from Juventus, and thus begin a new professional adventure in the club he had supported since he was a child. It didn’t take Giuntoli long to understand how different the pressures were to bear compared to Napoli.
Giuntoli’s new adventure at Juventus
The sporting director was in fact highly criticized at the end of the summer transfer market for not having signed any incoming signings for the club. But the truth is that he needed time to adapt to this new reality, in a truly difficult moment for Juventus, forced to re-establish itself after the judicial earthquake which eliminated the old corporate leaders.
In the January transfer window however, the sporting director finally started to bring in Turin the young talents on which to build the squad of the future. And as had already happened for Bremer two years ago, this time too it was Inter who were mocked.
Juventus, the new signing finally ready to make his debut
The first Giuntoli purchase it was in fact Thiago Djalo, who at that moment actually seemed ready to wear the Nerazzurri shirt. Giuntoli was very good at beating Marotta’s competition in time, and winning the talented French defender, who until now, however, also thanks to an injury, he never made his black and white debut.
However, his debut now seems very close as it is currently news that Massimiliano Allegri is considering the possibility of letting him play, not from the first minute, but during the match in progress, in the Bianconeri’s next match against Salernitana.
