The Reggio players take the lead well, in the 9th minute great penetration by Resino, ball released by Renton in Sbrocco who takes two tacklers for a walk before smashing in the goal: 0 to 7. In the 21st minute Filippo Lazzarin left the field after suffering a sprain. Placed on each side and it’s 3-13 after the first quarter of the match. At 31′ great timing of passing with Jannelliwho sails between the shirts and goes up the entire half of the pitch, before being brought into touch.
In the 34th minute, great play by Bronzini who breaks Farolini’s tackle, offload to Ciofani who commits forward, Sauze recovers and goes for the goal… which is disallowed.
In the 60th minute, an excellent goal for Sauze, Viadana closes the gap, but Farias takes the crossbar from a conversion and the score remains 11-13. In the 65th minute Valorugby extends with Ledesma’s place: 11 to 16. In the 68th minute great penetration by Locatelli, offload for Fabrizio Ciardullo who scores and puts his team ahead: 18 to 16, the result with which the match ends.
Viadana goes to the Serie A Elite final, fourteen years after the last championship final (in 2010 with Benetton, lost 16 to 12 in the Plebiscite).
