GROTTAZZOLINA – The weekend dedicated to the men’s Italian Cup Final Four begins with Yuasa Grottazzolina as protagonist. Ortenzi’s boys take to the field at 5pm for the semi-final with Ravenna. Following the match between Brescia and Porto Viro; Sunday at 5.30pm the final that will award the Del Monte® Italian Cup A2.

The Yuasa Battery, fresh from promotion to the SuperLega as winners of the Play Offs and already qualified for the Del Monte® Supercoppa scheduled for Sunday 19 May in Grottazzolina, went to Piedmont to hunt for the 2nd category trophy in an innovative formula which foresees its dispute, for the first time in history, at the end of the championship. In addition to the Italian Cup, a place is also up for grabs to challenge the Grottesi team in the Super Cup.
Grottazzolina, which eliminated Cantù in the quarterfinals, will be the first team to take to the field, on Saturday afternoon at 5pm, for the semi-final which will see them once again face Consar Ravennacapable of ousting Prata exactly as happened in the playoffs.

The two teams now know each other by heart, and only a handful of weeks ago they gave life to a spectacular and hard-fought Play Off Semifinal series which saw the Marches come out on top only in the fifth set of game 3. The Romagnas are without Alessandro Bovolenta , involved in the national team and replaced, in this final phase of the season, by the Greek Raptis in the opposite role. Yuasa Battery, on the other hand, has no intention of giving up and in Cuneo it wants to demonstrate that it does not have a full belly and wanting to further replenish his boardin a season so far worth remembering.
Brescia and Porto Viro will compete in the other semi-final, on the pitch at 7.30pm, with the Lombards able to oust Siena and Porto Viro who instead got the better of Cuneo, thus forcing the Battocchio boys to attend the Final Four in their palas by mere spectators.
Final scheduled for Sunday 12 May at 5.30 pm, for the awarding of the 2024 edition of the Del Monte® Coppa Italia Serie A2.
Many new features and curiosities related to the event, starting from the game rules: the coaches will in fact have them at their disposal only one time out for each set. Furthermore, at the end of the Final, i journalists and a specially selected jury will elect the best in the fieldwho will receive the Del Monte® MVP plaque of the event.
The television programming of the event is also interesting, with the two semi-finals live on the Volleyball streaming platform and on Sky Sports Max.

The final promotion series for Smartsystem Fano begins on Sunday at 7pm who faces San Donà di Piave to move up to the men’s A2 and then find Banca Macerata again. Game 2 will be played on Saturday 18th in Veneto. Possible race 3 on Wednesday 22 May again at Pala Allende
