Giada Cecchetto is the new libero! – Women’s Serie A Volleyball League

The first market coup of Futura Volley Giovani is one of those destined to make noise. The Forte family club inaugurates the signing campaign for the 2024/25 season with a bang by entrusting the command of the second line to Giada Cecchetto!
The new libero Bustocco represents an authentic top player for the A2 series, where he will provide coach Alessandro Beltrami with a long experience gained on the pitches of the top Italian championship. Starting from his debut with Banca Reale Giaveno in 2012/13, passing through his years in Casalmaggiore (where he won a Champions League and an Italian Super Cup) and Legnano, up to his true consecration in his adventures in Perugia (from 2019 to 2021), Vallefoglia and Volley Bergamo 1991, the club with which he played his last season in A1. A solid receiving player, in her profile, however, a predisposition for the defensive phase should not be overlooked, a quality that has always represented a strong point of hers. The numbers also speak in its favor, with a performance in terms of perfect reception almost never lower than 40%, with the peak of the two years in Umbria, which closed with 45.6% and 44.3% respectively.
A quick negotiation along the A4-A8 motorway (from Bergamo to Busto Arsizio, passing through Milan, the city of origin of the new Cocca) which led Giada Cecchetto to wear the red and white colours, with the most classic of love at first sight struck in record times. The libero born on 6 June 1991, who will wear the number 6 shirt, is also an excellent beach volleyball player and has obtained two degrees: the first in Biology, the second in Human Nutrition Sciences and in his future there is a brilliant career as a nutritionist awaits her.

The words

The work can wait
“I was going through a phase of reflection on my future and I was more oriented towards opening my own nutritionist practice but I told myself that if an interesting proposal came along, which would be worth it, I would evaluate it in the best possible way. And that’s what happened with Futura.
I really liked the first contact with the company, the strong interest it showed in me, the ability to meet my needs. It was easy to find an agreement and I immediately felt a good feeling with a serious but above all ambitious club that wants to win: I totally relate to it. I am very happy with the choice made, I have decided to focus on a new challenge and I can’t wait to get started, knowing that I can be a point of reference for the team.”

The Jade brick
“I will bring my many years of experience in the A1 series to Futura, putting it at the service of the younger teams, my charisma and my energy. I will try to convey the desire to win and fight to aim to conquer something important; I am convinced that there are the conditions to work as best as possible and continue to grow as an athlete.”

A2, instructions for use
“It will be a very nice, high-level championship, the A2 is growing more and more.
It won’t be easy but we are creating an excellent team and it will be nice to compare ourselves with the others. I miss promotion to A1 and this will be an important stimulus for me.”

Back to PalaBorsani
“A few years have passed since the season with the Sab Legnano shirt but the one in Castellanza is a building that has remained in my heart. The audience feels close, it’s very warm and I have several pleasant memories.”

Giada off the pitch and the summer to come
“I’m very curious, I like to inform myself and update myself on everything, especially nutrition. I play the piano, I like to travel and I love the sea. I will spend a good part of the summer on the Island of Elba where my boyfriend lives. I will train on the beach and in the weight room to be ready for the day of the meeting.”
