FIPAV Lazio – Beach Volleyball School

The two days of the Beach Volley School-Acea Trophy have just ended, an event that has been part of the Volley School project for years. Impressive numbers for this edition with 251 participating institutions.

The venue for the event was the Pinetina Beach Village in Ostia, a facility which for the occasion was invaded by young students who occupied the 6 fields of the facility from 8.30 in the morning until the early hours of the afternoon, amidst music, sun and fun .

Yesterday, the Junior category took to the field and saw the victory of Democrito, an institute that won the men’s and women’s tournaments. In the men’s competition, Democrito met the boys from Convitto Nazionale in the final, managing to prevail with a clear 15-10; in the women’s competition, however, the girls excelled against winning the match with a score of 15-9.

The boys and girls of Democritus rejoice in unison: “Definitely a satisfaction for all of us and for the Institute – the members of the two Democritus teams say in unison -. We are happy to have managed to win such a prestigious tournament which gives prestige to our high school.”

Today, the protagonists of the day were the very young people in the student category. In the women’s competition, Anco Marzio dominated the final against Enriques, winning 15-9, while in the men’s competition it was a thrilling final, with Socrate beating Garibaldi 15-14.

“It’s wonderful to see them play – He says the teacher of the girls at Anco Marzio, Rosaria Pace -. SThey are committed to every match and on this wonderful day they managed to win this beautiful final. I’m really pleased to have achieved such a result.”

“It wasn’t easy – this is echoed by the Socrate boys who won the tournament by one point – because it was an intense day with many matches won only at the last point. The fact that we managed to manage our forces and win the final gives us even more satisfaction.”

At the end of these two intense days, President Andrea Burlandi says he is extremely satisfied with the general progress of the ACEA and FIPAV Lazio initiative: “They were two wonderful days, with many teams registered and boys and girls who participated with great enthusiasm. It was a high quality tournament, but we knew it would be because this event now plays a fundamental role within the historic School Volleyball Trophy. This is a project which, in its entirety, involves different focuses that go beyond sport. This year, also together with ACEA, we have placed the emphasis on sustainability, protection and respect for the environment, transmitting to students, also through the organization of seminars, fundamental concepts which they assimilate more easily if combined with sports practice”.
