MotoE returns to Le Mans, fifth round of MotoGP

Everything is ready for the fifth stage of the MotoGP season, the third European one two weeks after the Spanish GP. This weekend we will race in France, at the “Bugatti Circuit” of Le Mans, created from the “Circuit de la Sarthe”, temple of the legendary 24 Hours of motor racing. After the spectacular duel that took place in Jerez between Pecco Bagnaia And Marc Marquezthere is great anticipation for the two protagonists: on a very suitable track for Ducati, the Spaniard from Gresini Racing, who has triumphed three times on the transalpine track (2014, 2018 and 2019), will have the opportunity to avenge the second place, for his part, the No. 1 on the grid will try to make up for the retirements that occurred in 2022 and 2023. The two from Rimini could benefit from this rivalry Enea Bastianini (Ducati) e Marco Bezzecchi (Pertamina Enduro Vr46 Racing), winners of the last two editions, or the Pramac standard bearer Jorge Martin, still at the top of the drivers’ standings, but fresh from the first zero of the season in the long race. Le Mans will also be the home grand prix for Johann Zarco of Honda e Fabio Quartararo, with the Yamaha champion hoping to be able to get on the podium ahead of his compatriots after third place in the Jerez sprint was missed due to an irregularity in tire pressure. Worth keeping an eye on Maverick Viñales on Aprilia, despite being forced to retire last year following a race accident with Bagnaia, and the KTMs of Binder And Millerwho have to stand up to a wild man Pedro Acosta, rookie of the GasGas satellite team who is giving his more experienced teammates a hard time. MotoE also returns to the “Bugatti Circuit” after a long break for the second round of the season. The rider from Rimini leads the group Mattia Casadei thanks to the victory and third place obtained in Portimao. In the two French races, the reigning champion of the LCR team will have to contend with, among all, the other Romagna people on the starting grid: Massimo Roccoli of Sic58, the representative of Gresini Racing Matteo Ferrari, Alessandro Zaccone of the Tech3 E-Racing team e Kevin Zannoni riding the Openbank Aspar Team motorbike. Appointment with the MotoGP on Saturday afternoon at 3pm for the sprint and Sunday at 2pm for the long race; MotoE will only race on Saturday, with race one scheduled for 12.15pm and race two at 4.10pm.
