On 11 May 2024, on the occasion of the transit of Stage VIII of the 107th Giro d’Italia, the event route will be closed to traffic for reasons of public safety as per the attached table.
It is reiterated that the closure is intended until the passage of the vehicle bearing the mobile “end of cycling race” sign and, in any case, until the needs no longer exist. It should also be noted that: 1. Heavy vehicles (over 7.5 t) will be prohibited from transit along the SS.4 Salaria in the stretch between km.98+700 (Antrodoco) and km.111+800 ( Post office) with mandatory deviation on the SS.17 towards L’Aquila; 2.
For other vehicles heading from Rieti to the Adriatic coast at the times indicated in the table, in order to avoid long stops, it may be advisable to use the motorways along the SS.17 (Antrodoco) or the SS.578 (Rieti/Casette/Cicolano ).
