A document popped up online in the last few hours has revealed downloads and receipts totals of all the games first party available on PlayStation Storewith information updated in June 2023 and most likely linked to the data theft involving Insomniac Games.
It is obviously not possible to confirm the reliability of the leak, although the numbers reported appear plausible. For example, Marvel’s Spider-Man is the most downloaded game ever with 8.3 million downloads and revenues amounting to over 315 million dollars.
In terms of box office receipts, God of War Ragnarok occupies second position in the ranking with its 279 million dollars, however, compared to 4.2 million downloads, while The Last of Us Part 2 is at 242 million dollars with 6.4 million downloads.
An extraordinarily successful platform
Again according to the document, considering Sony productions the PlayStation Store would have totaled since launch proceeds equal to approximately 4 billion dollars and 171 million downloads: extraordinary numbers for the digital platform, also achieved thanks to the many promotions and discounts.
