In the face of the ongoing seismic swarm and the strong earthquake of magnitude 3.9which took place this morning at 5.44am with widespread resentmentthe Phlegraean Fields and in the western districts of Naples, the Campi Flegrei Archaeological Park has temporarily blocked access to the archaeological sites of the area

The closure was ordered by the director Fabio Pagano for security reasons.

«Visitors are advised that, in relation to this morning’s seismic event and in implementation of the safety protocols, from this morning the Park sites are temporarily closed to the public until the conclusion of the ongoing seismic swarm is communicated and the carrying out the planned technical checks”, reads a note sent by the PaFleg.

The website is also closed Mirabilis swimming pool in Bacoli, as announced on social media: «The Mirabilis Pool will also remain closed until further notice for appropriate checks. We are sorry for all those who had already planned the visit, but nature is unpredictable.”
