A return in style that accompanies the release of “PROTOMARANZA”, the new album by J-Ax and Dj Jad (aka Article 31) 31 years after their first album together (“City streets” in 1993). The official video clip of “Peyote”, the single chosen for the album launch, was entirely shot at Villa Lario Resort, the five-star boutique hotel in Mandello del Lario. In the video, directed by Cosimo Alemà, J-Ax, Dj Jad and Fabri Fibra and Rocco Hunt play the role of unlikely policemen intent on arresting their “doubles”: in full Article 31 style, there is no shortage of self-irony.
The skilful direction of Cosimo Alemà gave life to a quality product: an organizational machine that involved seventy people, in fact, fifteen hours of uninterrupted filming were needed to create the approximately five-minute video clip; furthermore, no extras were used, but only professional actors.
“We are truly flattered by this opportunity – comment Esa Secca and Raffaella Di Gennaro, friends and partners in Villa Lario Resort – because it gives us the opportunity to make our reality known from a different point of view. The first scene of the video clip was shot inside our natural caves, above which we created two suites, Meria and Grigna. The large park area adjacent to the swimming pool was used for the external scenes. The internal and external environments of the Amandus Ristorante have been masterfully transformed to accommodate the Queens parade. The “Hangover” scene was filmed in the Bellagio suite, the most prestigious of the five inside the villa. Another suite used for filming is the Tivano located directly on the beach. The use of our mooring for the last scene, i.e. the escape by boat with the stolen goods, is inevitable.”
