Certa Stampa – FAREARTE IN ABBEY ROAD TO RECORD IN THE LEGENDARY BEATLES STUDIO

The teachers of the Farearte school in Teramo, who have just returned from London, talk about their experience in the Abbey Road Studios.

Flavio Pistilli, Davide Di Giuseppe and Gianluca D’Angelo together with bassist Simone Sulpizio, recorded six songs in studio 3 of Abbey Road:
– four songs written by Greta Aloisi, 2 of which sung by her and 2 performed by the well-known English performer Steve Balsamo who we remember having played the role of Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar in 1996;
– two covers, “Come Together” by the Beatles and “Valerie” by Amy Winehouse, rearranged by Flavio Pistilli and performed by Nicoletta Dale, chosen because they were originally recorded in the same studio used by the Teramo musicians.

The recording was handled by sound engineer Paul Pritchard, a member of the Abbey Road team since 2009 who has worked with artists such as Sting, Paul McCartney, Elton John and Robbie Williams.

The experience was defined as unforgettable by the Farearte masters who, before starting work, were guided by the kind Marta Di Nozzi on a visit to the 3 studios built by EMI in 1931.
Studio 1, the largest, where the soundtracks of Marvel, Amazon Prime and Netflix productions are still recorded today.
Studio 2, at the time of the visit, was occupied by an orchestra intent on tuning its instruments.

Studio 3 with the piano used by John Lennon inside, on which the burns from his cigarettes are still evident.

On the walls of the corridors that connect the various rooms there are photos of the greatest music artists who made the air of this temple vibrate: The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Police, Queen, U2, Muse, Oasis, Coldplay, Amy Winehouse, Dua Lipa and many others.
Some Italian artists have also brought their art into Abbey Road Studios such as Ennio Morricone, Elisa, Enrico Ruggieri, Cesare Cremonini, and Francesco Gabbani.

It was a unique opportunity to work in such a prestigious place rich in musical history and for this the masters of farearte thank Greta Aloisi who chose them for this work.
Now we just have to wait for the release of the recorded songs.
