Fiorello surprises, amazes and moves in the last episode of Long live Rai2. After a journey that lasted two editions, his beloved morning show could close its doors forever. So what better occasion than this to organize a party with super guests, live music, always accompanied by your faithful Amadeus that the next passage to the Nine is not seen as being so faithful.
Special guests for this “farewell” party were Last who sang his new single, “Altrove”, in a magical setting, the empty Olympic stadium, and Jovanotti who revealed how he is doing and his plans for the future after his bad cycling accident in Santo Domingo last July.
Jovanotti’s return
The glass of Foro Italico it was the incredible setting for performances, major television moments and astonishing announcements. Between laughter and irony, Fiorello and his team entered the hearts of viewers and the audience at home who rushed to watch the last episode live. There were 1600 of them outside the glass, ready to daydream about the surprises that the showman had prepared for them.
Jovanotti’s return was definitely one of the most amazing moments. The singer-songwriter had had a bad cycling accident in Santo Domingo, «I broke my collarbone and femur in three places. It hurts terribly, it hurts like a beast. But I found an orthopedist here in Santo Domingo and they operate on me, they have to put a titanium nail in me”, the “Kiss me again” singer announced in a video.
Ten months after the accident, Jovanotti returns to television, with the joy of those who can’t wait to start playing again and being among people, his fans. Fiorello reaches him and makes him promise to return to tour soon: «I promise, on tour in spring 2025!»
Fiorello’s farewell
«See you at the next idea!» he closes like this Fiorellohis latest episode of Long live Rai2, the morning show that was incredibly successful. The 4am wake up call didn’t stop the artists from taking part in this party. Over the course of the two editions, absolutely everyone stopped by: from Elodie who arrived directly after an evening, to Annalisa, passing through Francesco Totti, Giorgia and many other important names.
The public continues to hope that it is not really Fiorello’s definitive farewell to this format which is now passionate and, above all, brings good humor from the early morning, but for now it is all a question mark and a promise from the showman who does not abandon his audience (and not even Rai): until the next idea Fiore!
