Normal people use the weekend to rest and disconnect from all the work done during the week. Drake and Kendrick Lamarinstead, it seems they used it to press very hard on the accelerator and try to close once and for all the dissing between two of the most influential personalities of the current rap game.
The last chapter in chronological order came from the Canadian rapper, who responded to his rival on the night of Monday 6 May with ‘The Heat Part 6‘. Already from the title, Drizzy’s desire to appropriate one of Lamar’s distinctive brands (the ‘The Heat’ saga) and use his own weapons against him is clear. Which is exactly what Drake did in the lyrics of the song: after the accusations of pedophilia and of having a secret eleven-year-old daughter came from the colleague in Compton, Drake revealed that all this information was nothing more than fake news purposely leaked to instigate the rival towards a false step.
“You waited for this moment overwhelmed by desperation / We plotted for a week and then fed you the information – Drake raps in his latest track – An 11 year old daughter, I bet she buys it. We thought we’d also provide a fake name and location / but you’re so desperate that you didn’t even bother to investigate”. As regards the accusations of having had relations with a minorDrizzy rejects the insinuations explaining that he is “too famous to do this shit”, and returns to rage against his colleague by talking about the relationship with Wayne Alford, on K-Dot’s alleged domestic assault, about not being allowed near her children and above all on the fact that the woman did not deny the accusations made in other previous songs of the diss.

In the songs released by rappers in the last week – ‘Euphoria’‘6:16 in LA‘, ‘Meet the Grahams‘ And ‘Not Like Us‘ for Kendrick Lamar and ‘Family Matters‘ And ‘The Heat Part 6‘ for Drake – the topics touched on by both rappers have become increasingly heavier and more personal.
Raising the bar to its current level was Drake with ‘Family Matters’, where he targeted Kendrick Lamar talking about his family relationships, in particular the one with his wife Whitney Alford, accusing the Compton rapper of domestic violence and insinuating that one of the children is not actually hers but her manager and creative partner, Dave Free.
In ‘Meet the Grahams’, Lamar directly addresses each member of Drake’s family, real name Aubrey Drake Graham. The first to receive K-Dot’s attention is the son Adonis, to whom he apologizes “for the man’s irresponsible behavior”. Then it’s mother Sandra’s turn, to whom she talks about her son’s “bad habits that should not be underestimated”, a concept that she also reiterates to her father, saying that “gave birth to a manipulator and raised a horrible person”.
Finally, as already mentioned, is directly addressed to Drake’s supposed firstborn daughtera little girl who would have been kept hidden by the rapper because she is the daughter of a girl who works in the hardcore world.
