Not only that: in the same period, a dance move of hers had also gone viral, not exactly among the best, a step which on social media had been nicknamed the “pencil sharpener dance”.
“It was a painful and humiliating moment,” Dua told Guardian. «When I won the Grammy for best new artist, people said I didn’t deserve it. “He has no stage presence, he won’t make his way”». Dua had already spoken to Rolling Stone about that moment, a few months ago: «I finally managed to do something I liked and I was rejected, as if I were someone who couldn’t do anything good. Plus I was also tossed around the world. Lots of promotion, lots of rehearsals: too much of everything, without having time to perfect anything.”
