Kerry King, ‘Reunion shows won’t result in recordings or tours’

In a recent interview given to Metal Hammer UK and reported by Blabbermouth, the guitarist of SLAYER, Kerry Kingsaid the following about the three reunion shows that the band will hold at American festivals between September and October Aftershock, Riot Fest And Louder Than Life:

“They won’t translate into recordings and they won’t translate into touring. As far as I’m concerned, it’s three shows that mark five years since our farewell tour, a bit like saying: ‘Hey, do you remember us before the pandemic?’

KERRY KING will release his first solo album “From Hell I Rise“ on May 17, 2024 on Reigning Phoenix Music. The album was produced by Josh Wilbur (LAMB OF GOD, ALL THAT REMAINS).

This is the band’s line-up:

Vocals: Mark Osegueda (DEATH ANGEL)
Guitars: Kerry King (ex-SLAYER)
Guitars: Phil Demmel (VIO-LENCE, ex-MACHINE HEAD)
Bass: Kyle Sanders (HELLYEAH, ex-BLOODSIMPLE)
Drums: Paul Bostaph (ex-SLAYER, etc.)

KERRY KING he will be in concert with his band next 6 July at Rock In Roma (Ippodromo delle Capannelle) and 7 July at Metal Park (Romano D’Ezzelino, Vicenza).
