What is Kinds of Kindness about?

As the description says, it is a fairy tale divided into three parts. The first follows a man with no choice who tries to take control of his life; a policeman alarmed by the fact that his wife who disappeared at sea has returned and seems like a different person; and a woman determined to find a specific person with a special ability, destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader.

Kinds of Kindness is “nearly three hours long, as hostile and aggressive as Yogos Lanthimos’ early work”

Speaking about his collaboration with the Greek director, Stone said: “We have no codes to communicate with. Yorgos says no action on set. There is no video room, just Yorgos sitting with his monitor next to the camera. We don’t have stunt doubles and we don’t leave the set. The atmosphere is as small and intimate as possible. The things that happen from rehearsals or from one take to another change and modify as time passes, so you rely on Yorgos to best interpret that world“.
