During an interview with EW, Will Smith spoke about Bad Boys 4the new chapter of the saga which is entitled Bad Boys: Ride or Die and that will arrive next month.
The actor spoke specifically about the importance of Mike’s criminal son, Armando, played by Jacob Scipio for the first time in Bad Boys For Life:
Mike Lowrey’s son plays an integral role in saving the legacy of the Bad Boys and Captain Howard. Jacob better prepare for a great summer because his life will never be the same after this movie. He has such a powerful role in this film.
Mike tries to repair the past with his son and the loss of the captain, there is even the fear that Mike is cursed. He says that “horrible things happen to everyone I love,” which is why he has had trouble finding love and friendship other than Marcus. So in this film she tries to develop a bond with his son too.
The film will be in US cinemas on June 7th, in Italian cinemas on June 13th.
Once again, Adil & Bilall are directing from a screenplay by Chris Bremner.
The cast also includes Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Paola Nuñez, Eric Dane, Ioan Gruffudd, Jacob Scipio, Melanie Liburd, Tasha Smith and Tiffany Haddish.
