It’s finally available on Netflix the second part of Rebel Moonthe sci-fi blockbuster signed by Zack Snydera divisive director who, despite ups and downs, has always remained stable fanbase. His latest work unfortunately stood out negatively in terms of reviews, but this did not stop the author fromimagine a franchise very broad for Rebel Moonwhich in his intentions would be composed of even six films.
Despite the less than satisfactory results, therefore, the third chapter still remains a real possibility. Zack Snyder has now confirmed that the story has already been written in detail and that work on the screenplay is currently underway: «I don’t think it will take long. The writers and I know exactly where the story is going to go. We have already decided everything and I have written roughly the first 20 pages of the third film. So it wouldn’t be that difficult to accomplish. But we’ll see. I won’t say it’s simple, but it can be done.”
Previously, Snyder had also anticipated a possible plot for the next chapter: «The story of the third film will see the protagonists intent on track down Princess Issa and discover how the rebels can use the victory at Veldt to create a coalition of planets now on the brink of rebellion, but now they have seen an example of liberation. Maybe now there really is an opportunity. AND a chink in the armor.»
It should be specified that Rebel Moon – Part 3 has not yet been announced officially by Netflix: regardless of the critical outcome, they will certainly be the views of the content to determine the fate of the franchise. Certainly, the support of the streamer demonstrated to Zack Snyder, deciding to also distribute the version in the future director’s cut of the films, seems to be a good viaticum for the arrival of the third chapter.
