In addition, it is part of the franchise too Tim Burton’s remake of Planet of the Apes (2001), which however is precisely a retelling of the original 1968 film and therefore was excluded from our list. Finally, in addition to cinema films, we also remember that in 1974 a Planet of the Apes television series aired which however was short-lived and was followed in 1975 by an animated TV series.
