Cagliari, 05/21/2024 – Yes term Wednesday 22 May, at 10.30am, to Cagliari at the General and Sardinian Studies Municipal Library – MEM Media Library of the Mediterranean, in via Goffredo Mameli 164, the presentation press conference of Sardinia Race 24.
Sardinia Race 24 It is a competitive sailing regatta, open to sailors who want challenging regattas, with departure and arrival in Cagliari. Organized under the aegis of the Italian Sailing Federation, by the Asd “Buccari” Sailing section and by the Arbatax Nautical Club, it was included among the institutional sporting events by the Municipality of Cagliari which offered the Challenge Trophy.
Taking part in the conference will be: Andrea Floris (counsellor for sport in the first edition), Nicola Pirina, CEO Kitzanos, Carlo Gallino, CEO and founder Mycomp, representatives of the federal judges, Buccari sailing section, Arbatax nautical club and all the crews. After the press conference I will follow the skipper meeting.

The departure
The departure of sailors is expected Friday 24 May 2024 at 2.00 pm, in Cagliari, under the Sant’ Elia lighthouse from where the departure and arrival line-up starts. The Cittm di Cagliari trophy, raffled off by the winners of the previous edition, will be awarded to the first ORC classified. The winner will definitely be the association that is the first to win three times through one of its owners. Furthermore, the first three crews in the compensation ranking, the first three crews in each class and the Honor line will also be rewarded. There are also intermediate trophies at the gates which will be communicated in the racing instructions.
There awards ceremony will take place on Sunday 9 June at 6.00 pm at the Sea Flower in Cagliari, loc. “On Siccu”. Followed by an evening of music.
