Agricultural institutes, the national competition was a success

The 2024 edition of the national competition of the Agricultural Technical Institutes of Italy, held in Pesaro from 15 to 18 May, ended with a sumptuous fish-based dinner at the Santa Marta Hotel Institute, in collaboration with the restaurateur Uldergo. as last year the “A. Cecchi” Agricultural Institute was the winner, with Matteo Giovagnoli, 4th CT class, first place among 55 students from all over Italy. This year in Pesaro there were 52 students competing and they challenged each other with two days of written and practical tests on the following disciplines: plant production, appraisal, product transformation, animal production, agricultural biotechnology and rural genius: First place Filippo Olivini of the Pastori Institute of Brescia, second Riccardo Agazzi of the Cantoni Institute of Treviglio, third Davide Bastarolo of the Sartor Institute of Castelfranco Veneto; an excellent fifth and seventh place, out of competition, for the students Benedetta Fraternali Grilli, class 4th BT and Lorenzo Simoncelli 5th AT still from Cecchi. In the meantime, the accompanying teachers and managers had the opportunity to visit the city of Urbino and the Girolomoni and Guerrieri companies, and then for everyone a guided tour of the city of Pesaro, capital of culture 2024. The head teacher Riccardo Rossini complimented all the participating students and their teachers and managers, thanked the test correction commission made up of the teachers of the IIS A. Cecchi, which made it possible to know the winners of the Pesaro 2024 competition in a very short time, the staff of her collaborators Chiara Fiorucci, Barbara Trufelli, Michela Brunetti and Tatiana Olivieri for the perfect organization and the school director Roberto Franca for the hospitality on the occasion of the awards ceremony.
