An hour of torrential rain hit Zavattarello and part ofEastern Oltrepòturning the streets into torrents of water and devastating fields and vineyards. Around noon, in fact, one water bomb hit the area violentlycausing inconvenience and damage.

In the afternoon, the firefighters of Broni, la civil protection Of Zavattarello and the Mountain Community, together with the volunteers and the municipal administration, worked tirelessly to respond to the emergency. Moments of fear were experienced at Casa Cagnone where a woman is got stuck in her cartrapped from the debris and stones carried by the rain along the road that descends towards the Tidone dam. The timely intervention of the Fire Brigade, the Zavattarello Carabinieri and the Civil Protection allowed her to get out of the cockpit. Numerous roads remained impassable for hours, making travel difficult.
Flooding and damage to vineyards

The intervention of the rescue teams was crucial to mitigate damage and ensure the safety of residents. However, the damage agriculture and infrastructure will require time and resources to fully rehabilitate.
