PESCARA. Fire in the pine forest. It happened again yesterday. Shortly after 2pm, a column of smoke and flames inside the D’Annunzio Reserve revived the nightmare of August 1st three years ago, when 35 hectares of park, among trees and Mediterranean scrub, were destroyed. But then it was the height of summer and there was a scorching heat fueled by the Garbino. Yesterday, however, the fire that broke out in the area behind the small lake between Via Pantini and Via della Bonifica started as a light drizzle began and the temperatures were even lower than in recent days.
