More protests and queues on the Turin ring road, traffic jams expected until July

THE inconveniences on the Northern Ring Road of Turin continue to create frustration among motorists.

Numerous comments from exasperated users emerge from social networks, expressing their anger and disappointment at the situation.

ATIVA, the company that manages the section of the A55 Tangenziale Nord of Turin, has long since informed ch and from 8 April to 7 July, in the stretch between the Venaria Reale junction and the Collegno junction (State Road 24), the roadway will be reduced from three to two lanes.

This provision is necessary to carry out mandatory works deep rehabilitation of road pavementaimed at the complete redevelopment of the draining and sound-absorbing flooring.

The objective is to improve the security standards of the infrastructure.

The anger of motorists

Many motorists have expressed their disappointment on social networks. “It is unacceptable that every morning there are kilometers of queues for jobs that seem to never end. It takes me twice as long to get to work”writes Marco, a daily commuter.

Simona, another motorist, adds: “I understand the need for the works, but is it possible that we won’t be able to find a less impactful solution? The queues are endless and every day is a nightmare.”

Luca, who uses the ring road for work, complains: “The works are necessary, but traffic management is terrible. We should do the work at night or find a way not to block everything. There are days when I spend more time in line than in the office”.

Scheduled interventions

ATIVA has tried to minimize inconvenience, specifying that the construction sites will have a maximum extension of approximately 1.5 km.

Furthermore, at the crossing points of the busiest junctions, such as Corso Regina Margherita and Collegno SS 24 Var, the extension of the construction sites will be further reduced.

However, the measures taken do not appear to be sufficient to alleviate the frustration of road users. “It’s real chaos. It is not enough to reduce the size of construction sites, better planning is needed to prevent this traffic jam from being created every day”comments Francesca, visibly exasperated.

Conclusion

The redevelopment works on the Northern Ring Road of Turin are crucial for improving the safety of the infrastructure, but are generating significant inconvenience for motorists.

The hope is that ATIVA and the competent authorities will find more effective solutions to manage traffic and reduce queues, thus responding to the growing complaints of users.

For real-time updates on traffic and construction sites, motorists are invited to consult the official ATIVA website and follow communications on the official social channels.
