Idea competition «The Ecomuseum. The future of memory”on Monday 20th at the Royal Palace, in the modern library of the Superintendency of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape, located on the third floor of the Royal Palace, the ceremony for the delivery of the parchments to the institutes and students who took part in this year’s edition will be held .
For Sannio, the “Alfonso Maria de’ Liguori” higher education institute of Sant’Agata de Goti will be awarded (director Maria Rosaria Icolaro, contact teacher Carmine Viscusi); the «Galilei-Vetrone» higher education institute of Benevento (manager Giovanni Marro, referring teachers Ignazio De Lucia and Giuseppe Cecere) and the artistic high school of the «Virgilio» higher institute of Benevento (manager Annamaria Morante, referring teacher Amelia Rossetti ).
The initiative is part of the celebrations for International Museum Day, a day promoted by the International Council of Museums (Icom) with the aim of recalling the role that the institutes of the Ministry of Culture play in society to strengthen their ties with communities local, with visitors and with those responsible for national and local cultural policies. The theme proposed by Icom this year is “Museums for education and research”, because places of culture act as dynamic educational centers, promoting curiosity, creativity and critical thinking.
The competition was divided into 4 sections: Community maps and eco-museum itineraries with interviews with historical memories (family members, elderly people, neighbors…); EcoClick for recovering old photos of places of interest; EcoVisual which will be animated by short films on traditions; Heritage to be observed for the construction of a participatory inventory through the compilation of simplified cataloging sheets.
