Viterbo – We receive and publish – After reading the statements of the regional councilor of Fratelli d’Italia Daniele Sabatini, regarding the expansion of the Monterazzano landfill, an expansion desired by his own majority, we want to remember that in addition to the municipal council of Viterbo also the assembly of mayors of the province expressed unanimously against the expansion of the landfill. So even the centre-right mayors rightly voted against the expansion of the landfill.
We also remind him that during the election campaign, President Rocca and Fratelli d’Italia had made a commitment to no longer bring waste from Rome to Viterbo. The appeal against the expansion of the landfill presented by Mayor Frontini’s council is a clear demonstration of those who seriously protect citizens from an environmental and public health point of view.
The province and the municipality of Viterbo have already paid too high a price, which is why we tell councilor Sabatini to support the municipality and the province in this battle above all and first and foremost for the people of Viterbo.
