The “THE NEW REAL” project will offer courses starting in 2025

In Matera, in the province of Matera and the Basilicata region, the Materahub Consortium and the Creative Basilicata Cluster have officially launched the “THE NEW REAL” project. This project, financed by the PNRR through the TOCC (Digital Transition for Bodies dealing with Culture and Creativity) tender of the Ministry of Culture and managed by Invitalia, aims to create the first Italian Academy on generative Artificial Intelligence.

The two Lucanian organizations will collaborate with national partners such as Sineglossa, Tlon and the “Federico II” University of Naples, all entities with experience in the study and research of generative AI. The Academy, aimed at creatives, artists and professionals from the cultural and creative sectors, will offer training on how to generate textual, visual and video content using Artificial Intelligence.

The courses will be aimed at operators in the fields of communication, design, cinema, audiovisual, fashion, architecture, figurative arts, crafts, publishing, libraries and museums. The growing demand for new professional figures such as Prompt Manager, AI Trainer and AI Designer highlights the importance of this training path in the near future of work.

Over the next six months, the partners will design and test the training program, involving Italian and international experts. Registration for the courses will open starting from February 2025.
