sentenced to eight years La Nuova Sardegna

Olbia Eight years of imprisonment. It’s the sentence he will have to serve Kevin Doda, an Albanian worker who in July 2018, during an argument, injured his compatriot and work colleague in the throat with a cutter. The man, defended bylawyer Aurora Masu, he was accused of attempted murder and was tried with a summary trial. His lawyer had asked the preliminary hearing judge that the crime be classified as personal injury considering that the wound was superficial, as emerged from the expert reports, while the public prosecutor Mauro Lavra he had asked for an 8-year sentence for attempted murder. The gup Marco Contu accepted his thesis.

The incident happened in early July 2018. Around 6 in the morning. Kevin Doda, he had appeared drunk in front of two colleagues with whom he had to reach the construction site where they worked. The two had scolded him for his condition. That’s how the argument broke out. It started in front of a bar, in a side street of via Vittorio Veneto, and continued into the supermarket car park Simply. At a certain point, the worker took out a box cutter and hit one of them in the throat.

It was he himself, together with his other colleague, who accompanied the injured man to the emergency room in Olbia. The hospital immediately reported 112. The doctors had informed the police of the arrival of a young Albanian with stab wounds to the neck, adding that the possible culprit could be outside. The police then rushed to the hospital. Upon seeing the soldiers, the stabber fled in the car with his friend. The two managed to cover up for about three hours. Then, they were traced to the hamlet of Rudalza. In the pockets of Kevin Doda, the soldiers had found the cutter. The worker was then arrested. The colleague (who had no previous convictions) had been accused of aiding and abetting and resisting a public official.
