The waste service continues to be an administrative aspect that fuels strong differences between the municipal council and the top management of Impianti Srr, the in-house company that carries out the activities in the municipalities in the area. This morning, following several reports, the company management made it known that the spontaneous vegetation and the neglect of many areas are to be attributed to the management of the operational plan which is exclusively in the hands of the municipal administration. A discussion should soon be held to try to understand whether there will be glimmers of adaptation to the needs of the neighbourhoods. Councilor Ivan Liardi completely rejects the considerations of Impianti management. “Once again the narrative of the facts spread by the administrator of Impianti Srr is full of imagination and has nothing to do with reality. The division of the city into intervention areas was agreed upon delivery of the service and was formalized with an operational plan presented to the municipal administration by Impianti. The provisions issued by the hygiene service – the administration informs through Liardi – have become necessary for the continuous non-application of what is contained in the plan. Now, to assert that we do not agree with the execution of an operational plan proposed by the company and disregarded by it is saying something. If we then add the fact that for reports arriving at the Impianti call center, the company has an operational team not involved in the neighborhoods, there is nothing left to comment on.” Based on the assessments conducted by the municipal offices, there would be anomalies with respect to the service data. “As regards the penalties, these were also imposed due to the lack of clarity in the routes of the mechanized sweepers – adds Liardi – through the municipal offices, I understand that from the reports delivered on several occasions the routes would show mileages far higher than those actually indicated in the tables. Impianti, rather than clarifying this discrepancy, preferred to deactivate access to remote control, initially allowed to the municipal office. For this reason, penalties will continue to be applied until Impianti provides definitive clarity on the issue.” The administration seems inclined to a technical verification table.
