PERUGIA – It is the only Umbrian women’s club that played in Serie A in the 2023-2024 season and in its first experience in the top Italian futsal championship it achieved its goal, earning a splendid salvation on the pitch.
Not just the pride of Foligno, but the pride of all of Umbria and to honor the feat of the girls fromAtletico Foligno was today the Sports Councilor of the Region Paola Agabiti.
A delegation from the Foligno clubs was received in the Region by the Councilor who complimented the sporting results of a team made up mainly of local girls.
A small-big sporting miracle, made possible thanks to the determination of the players and the technical staff coordinated by Mister Luigi Battistone, but also thanks to a virtuous club, capable, with limited resources, of competing at the highest levels with all of Italy and to be taken from example in the entire regional sports panorama.
The President Serena Piorico, accompanied by vice president Giulia Iavarone, Sports Director Francesco Metelli and assistant coach Ilaria Santoni, Eleonora Negroni and Catia Campetella, presented the Atletico Foligno pennant to Councilor Agabiti. Andrea Duranti of Social Sport Spoleto was also present at the meeting.
Atletico Foligno will have a bigger fan for the next Serie A season…
