Venice, FIFA “ban” resolved: debt paid with Leuven for the purchase of Henry

Venezia has resolved one of the two Fifa “bans” (i.e. the ban on carrying out transfer operations for the next two sessions), i.e. the one arrived in February relating to Thomas Henry. As reported in today’s edition of “The Gazzettino” the French striker, purchased in the summer of 2021 from Leuven for over 5 million (5,125,000, was then resold the following summer for half the amount (2,681.00 euros) to Verona, with a 40% right on future resale for the part exceeding 2.5 million in favor of lagoonal. The Belgian club had in fact turned to FIFA to request the suspension measure as Venezia had not yet paid the debt, but in recent days the two clubs have resolved the dispute.

However, the agreement between the two companies does not yet mean a green light for the market: in fact, the second ban remains standing, the one relating to Michael Cuisance, issued in January for the same reasons, namely the failure to pay Bayern Munich the 5,402,000 euros agreed on the purchase of the card. Here too, however, the solution is very close and the agreement for a transaction with the Bavarian club seems to have been found: once it is put down in black and white not only will the stop on sales be lifted, but a much more serious danger will also disappear, namely that of the possible failure to register for the next championship, whatever the category.
