Labrecciosa furnishings, the largest store in Viterbo

Economy – The new exhibition inaugurated

“Thank you” is the most obvious word to express what last Saturday represented for this company but it is the only word that best interprets what we can and must address to our customers and to all the friends who wanted to share with us this moment of great personal satisfaction.

Ours was a real challenge! A challenge against time, against all expectations and future plans.

The opening of another store in fact entailed a series of important decisions and reflections but as my wife kept repeating to me “If you don’t try you’ll never know how it will end!”

So here we are!

Challenge won and future to face!

However, my future all comes from my past.

On my shoulders I carry the weight of an important, sometimes difficult and tiring past. However, it was precisely this past that gave me the strength to look to the future.

I believe, without any doubt, that without my past I would not be where I am today and for this I owe so much to my family.

The Labrecciosa family company has its roots in the distant 1950s when my father Amedeo and his brother Giuseppe inherited his carpentry shop from my grandfather Luigi, a native of Abruzzo, and quickly transformed it into a well-known and well-known furniture shop. appreciated not only by their fellow citizens but also by a large part of the region.

An indispensable presence in those moments was my grandmother Rosa, who, like any self-respecting woman, knew how to encourage her children, helping them to believe that they could do it.

My father was a man from another era, born in 1935, but I remember his gaze always turned towards the future. He, unlike the carpenters of his time, had understood at a certain point that the future lay in large-scale distribution and that therefore furniture shops had to satisfy the tastes and needs of customers in a short time. For this reason he abandoned carpentry and began selling the products of the most important companies of those years. Unfortunately I was able to learn little from him because I lost him when I was still a child but I perfectly remember his proud look, sometimes even severe, the look of someone who wants to go beyond their limits to reach his goals. And so I learned to look far ahead for him and his dream became mine.

And so I, who have breathed the scent of wood and glue since I was a child, began to love this job and adapted it to changing times and to the tastes of customers who were becoming increasingly sophisticated and innovative.

I learned to listen to them, to interpret them, to create them and this is how I have been designing, designing and furnishing people’s homes since the age of twenty.

I deeply love my job and I know how to do it well because I had good teachers and the time that allowed me to grow and improve. Today, at almost 60 years old, I look back and it is almost difficult for me to realize what I have done so far and how I have kept my family name high.

A special thank you goes to my mother Giovanna, the one who has been by my side all these years, in the good times and in the most difficult ones, also loving this job very much and supporting all my choices.

My personal and heartfelt thanks then go to my father-in-law Alvaro Zuppante, a great friend of my father’s youth and my sincere supporter. Alvaro has always believed in me and with esteem and affection he convinced me fourteen years ago to move to Viterbo because he said I was wasted for the country. He gave me his family’s premises and with his sister Patrizia he told me “Do what you do best!”. It was as if they wanted to pass me the baton of what had been their company and the story of their life and that of their father Mario, a one-of-a-kind man, a visionary for his times, a man who never stopped today, but who looked to his tomorrow and who strongly believed in his dreams and ambitions. Yesterday it was the legendary Alfa Romeos that shone in this hall, today it is the kitchens of Arredo 3. Since then times have changed, the products on display are different but what remains unchanged within these walls is the entrepreneurial spirit of those who want remain on the market having learned a lot from the past and believing we can do a lot in the future.
