Massimo Pacia coach who in his career has coached Pro Sesto and Pro Vercelli among others, spoke to the microphones of TMW Radio during the transmission To All C.
What are your thoughts on playoffs and playouts?
“The team that surprised me in the playoffs is Carrarese. It’s a team that plays well and is solid. In my opinion, Vicenza also achieved a very important victory. The same goes for Catania. In the playouts I had no doubts that Novara was stronger.”
On the Pro Sesto route?
“I can speak from my experience. When I arrived it was second to last with nine points behind. In my month we were unable to achieve results. It was a quick experience. For me the team could have done more if we had had time. When I left however, the team did well. The departure paid a lot for me. I’m sorry they couldn’t save themselves because there are excellent people there.”
Pro Vercelli?
“I didn’t think Pro Vercelli would come out of the playoffs so quickly. I didn’t expect a defeat like this. The problem was the defense which was also the Achilles heel of the entire season. The general journey has been full of ups and downs. In the end they achieved the result they wanted because they are a playoff club. My season was different because we were in the playoff zone. I was sacked after two draws and a defeat. I’m sorry because the club is excellent and president Ponciroli is a very good person.”
