In the continuous search for equity and inclusion in sport, the CONI Committee of Valle d’Aosta is about to host a resonant event: “What Equality in Sport?”. President Jean Dondeynaz and the Scientific Director of the CONI Regional School of Sport, Marina Fey, together with the equality advisor Katia Foletto, will lead an evening of reflection and debate next Tuesday, 21 May, in the conference room of the Bcc Valdostana in via Garibaldi in Aosta, starting at 8.30pm.

The event, conceived as an opportunity for discussion and sharing, will involve a series of illustrious speakers from different sporting fields. Among these, stand out names such as Rossana Aquadro, Federugby delegate for the Aosta Valley, Elisa Brocard, former cross-country skier now technician of the Army Sports Centre, Francesca Servadei, ski instructor and coach, Ettore Mosca Barberis, representative of the FISI coaches, Gianluca Fea, manager of Aosta 511 in football and futsal, and Marco Mosso, president of ASIVA VdA.

Each speaker will bring their own experience to the table, contributing to a deeper understanding of the current state of gender equality in sport. The progress already made, the challenges still to be faced and, above all, the tools necessary to ensure that women and men have equal opportunities in the world of sport will be analysed.

This meeting will not only offer a retrospective look at the path taken so far, but will also be an opportunity to outline a roadmap for the future, a future in which gender equality in sport is not just a goal, but a tangible reality.

The President of CONI VdA, Jean Dondeynaz, underlines the importance of this event and its significance for the regional sports panorama: “Gender equality in sport is not just an aspiration, but a necessity. This evening represents a step forward in our commitment to a more inclusive and equitable sporting environment for all.”

The invitation is open to all sector operators and athletes wishing to participate in a constructive and enlightening discussion on gender equality in sport. So the appointment is on May 21st, for a debate that promises to be full of ideas and reflections.
