GIULIANOVA. Paid parking is back on the Giulianova seafront: the 2023 rates are confirmed. Starting tomorrow, the car parks delimited by blue lines will return to being active along the Giulianova seafront, and will remain so until September 15th. All rates will be the same as the previous year: one euro per hour (with a minimum payment of 50 cents), three euros for half a day and six euros for the whole day. Subscriptions are also confirmed and include the weekly one at 36 euros, the monthly one at 50 euros and the summer one at 70 euros for residents; non-residents will also be able to take advantage of the summer season ticket at a cost of 110 euros.
The management of the blue lines remains entrusted to the company “Sis parking service systems” of Corciano, in the province of Perugia. Payments can be made via the blue parking meters distributed along the seafront, with coins, debit cards or credit cards, or via dedicated apps such as “Easy Park” and others. A novelty introduced this year, as announced by the councillor Paolo Giorgini, «it will be the possibility of taking advantage of 10 minutes of respite to allow users to make tickets before the tariff is activated, thus reducing the risk of committing infringements». The time slots in which paid parking will be active will remain the same as the previous year, from 8am to 1pm and from 3pm to 10pm. Councilor Giorgini said he was confident of replicating last year’s success, when the Municipality recorded an increase of approximately 35 thousand euros in collections, mainly thanks to season tickets from both residents and tourists. «For 2023», reports the administrator, «the total collection was 405,000 euros: this is the best result ever, higher than the revenues obtained in 2022 which stood at 370,000 euros. A service”, concludes Giorgini, “which has been considered efficient by the citizens and for this reason we as an administration are satisfied”.
The areas affected by paid parking remain unchanged, which include the southern seafront up to the Arcobaleno lido, the entire northern seafront and some areas of the central seafront. Furthermore, in the summer period via Milan and via Torino, the car park behind the Pois pub, near the amphitheater on the sea, and the area near the former Tam Tam campsite will remain subject to charges.
