The latest revelations as part of the Reset investigation, conducted by the Catanzaro DDA, reveal a crucial issue: the alleged source of the mafia organisation’s sensitive information. According to the investigators who completed the operation this morning “Recovery” and carried out 142 precautionary measures, the alleged mole would have a name, a surname and a precise role: Enrico Dattis, soldier of the Guardia di Finanza, now temporarily suspended from public offices for 12 months by the investigating judge of Catanzaro. ‘Ndrangheta-type association crimes, criminal association aimed at drug trafficking aggravated by mafia methods and purposes, as well as in relation to numerous other crimes, also aggravated by mafia methods and purposes. These are the alleged crimes for which the police this morning executed the precautionary order, issued by the investigating judge at the Court of Catanzaro.
The person who brought the picture to light was Michele Rende, alleged member of the Porcaro group affiliated with the ‘Ndrangheta of Cosenza, who in some wiretaps indicated an “insider” as the source of the information.
Rende’s words, which emerged from wiretaps as part of the Reset investigation conducted by the Catanzaro DDA, would therefore highlight a possible gap in the police force that favored the criminal organization.
In Rende’s speeches, he would have a key role in the vast drug trafficking network brought into focus by the Recovery investigation of the Catanzaro DDA, highlight that there is someone unfaithful in the law enforcement team. Rende says he is among the targets of a major anti-mafia investigation and admits that the information he received, “it’s reliable because a friend who is inside… in Finance also told me so”. That friend would be the financier Enrico Dattis.
