A 32-year-old from Mesoraca in the Crotone area was arrested for mistreatment against family members or cohabitants by the soldiers of the Mesoraca Carabinieri station. The arrest arises from the wife’s complaint, presented to the Station Command on the same day, who confided to the military that, together with her minor children, she was experiencing a situation of anxiety and terror due to continuous physical and verbal violence carried out by her husband. , violence that had lasted for over 10 years.
The woman, tired of the climate of fear generated by her husband’s criminal attitudes, courageously decided to report everything to the Carabinieri who, in close synergy with the Crotone Public Prosecutor’s Office, immediately activated all the safety procedures related to the ” Red Code” and protection of victims of domestic violence. The military, after having listened carefully to the woman and her family, in order to reconstruct the story in detail, proceeded to arrest her husband. At the end of the formalities, the man was subjected to house arrest.
