The fourth edition of the cabaret and comic theater festival “La Puglia che ride” is coming to Capurso, organized by Capurso Web TV and the Promolab716 Association of Capurso, which also this year has a double appointment planned for its audience.
Born in 2021, the event marked an important moment in the history of Capur and beyond. Its name contains the two inspiring principles: the desire to return to live moments of carefree, have fun and laugh after the pandemic, also associating the name of Puglia with the desire to laugh, a region with a strong tourist attraction for the territorial beauties and the immense intangible heritage it offers.
In this spirit, the event continues and offers the public two new dates to mark in the calendar for 2024. On Tuesday 16 July (9.15 pm) the comedian, cabaret artist and actor will arrive on the stage set up in front of the iconic churchyard of the Basilica della Madonna del Pozzo. and Sicilian television host Giovanni Cacioppo with “I threw the first stone”. On Wednesday 17 July (9.15 pm) it will be Valentina Persia’s turn to perform for the Capursese public and not only with her “What are you laughing at?!”. Valentina Persia – What are you laughing at?!
Having reached the fateful but beautiful age of fifty (at forty she wasn’t complaining) Valentina sums up her experience with the necessary subtractions, divisions and multiplications and starting from the assumption that she has never been a genius in mathematics. She laughs, dances, sings, reflects and why not, she undresses. “Have you ever seen that: if fifty gives me a lot, I’ll settle down and boast about it!”.
A journey through the fifty years of the artist’s life, thirty of which were spent on the stage, who despite everything has never lost the desire to laugh and make others smile without making the spectator miss the call of his television and theater debut between: imitations, jokes, songs and moments of intimacy.

I Cast the First Stone aims to be an analysis of customs and social habits inherent to our era, naturally treated with an ironic twist.
The title of the show should not be understood as the gesture of someone who is without sin (on the contrary), but of someone who with this action wants to raise awareness, make the public reflect and trigger a reaction.
The public is informed on how to implement small tricks to avoid fines at checkpoints, how to behave in restaurants in times of crisis, what can happen on a low-cost holiday, etc. etc…
The use of the web, social media, the lack of work, life expectations, fashion, the habits and vices of our era are the tracks on which we are traveling and together we will try to understand where they are taking us; with paradoxes and sarcasm we try to find the key to whether what we do is right, wrong or simply is.
