“A dry cleaning operation has already been planned on the row of lime trees in Via Monte Sabotino, which will be carried out as soon as possible, as part of the maintenance plan of the arboreal heritage of the Municipality of Modena and by the technicians of the Urban Maintenance service “. This was confirmed by the Municipality of Modena after reports from residents.
“The clearing of the dry land is not a real pruning but essentially consists of a ‘cleaning’ of the tree which is freed from branches or branches that are no longer vegetative and which is preferably carried out in the summer months. The vast public heritage of trees in the city of Modena, with more than one plant per inhabitant, are continuously monitored to verify their safety and maintenance: given the high number of trees, the monitoring program involves a rotation that has an average cycle of approximately five years.
In the context of the monitoring program, every year the Urban Maintenance service prepares a tree maintenance plan which, compatibly with the resources available, involves all the neighborhoods also in this case following a rotation or intervening promptly where risk situations are identified or following reports from citizens themselves who can contribute, in this way, to the maintenance and well-being of the city’s green areas”.
