Presented this morning at the headquarters of AnconAmbiente the percentages of separate waste collection for the year 2023 in the municipalities managed by the company and, Ancona, reaches the important for the first time target of 65% objective included in the consolidated environmental text (Legislative Decree 152/2006). A journey, that of the Doric city, of constant and continuous growth over the last 7 years which from 2017 (55.6%) to today has allowed the value to increase by approximately 10 points.

A goal that the cities of Cerreto d’Esi, Fabriano, Sassoferrato and Serra De’ Conti have achieved in previous years and which they confirm again in 2023. In particular Cerreto d’Esi arrives at 78.36%, Fabriano to the 72.46%, Sassoferrato to the 77.78% And Serra De Conti to the 78.18%.
All cities managed by AnconAmbiente in 2023 are in line with or above the latest national average detected by ISPRA (reference year 2022 ed.) which sets the percentage of separate waste collection on the national territory at 65.2%.
A discordant signal comes from the production of waste per capita in 2023 which decreases in the municipalities of Cerreto d’Esi (454 kg.) and Serra De’ Conti (365 kg.), but increases in Ancona (504 kg.), Fabriano (415 kg.) and Sassoferrato (493 kg.). However, the 2023 values of the cities managed by AnconAmbiente are very close if not lower than the national figure certified by ISPRA in the year 2022 (last official survey available ed.) which identifies 494kg. the average production of waste per capita in the municipalities of Italy.
